it would be a great loss to Taunton, with the amount of people it attracts, the shortsightedness of the council is near stupidity, the town really benefits from the 2 day event.
I really hope they find a good replacement for it, I have been a member of the club for years and would really miss the show

Meeting Rosie and Graham made the day out in Forres very special yesterday. My son was playing in te Pipe Band too. Rosie may put a photo of us on here. Maybe she won't. We shall see. We will have another meeting before I head off back to Australia. I will be back for good in September to annoy you all.. The internet reception on Magnetic Island is very poor and for our place, non existent really.
We were very cold yesterday, but today has been perfect sunny weather. I spent the afternoon at The Glenlivet Distillery doing a tour for my son and me, with a taste of a 15 yr. old malt in the library at the end. There are only 200 bottles of this special malt. I was feeling the effects of the four whiskers I tasted, and my son's fiancée did the driving as she does not like whisky.

Sounds like you had a good time Cherry , hope it was 'whiskies' & not 'whiskers' as you've put that you tasted! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Just delivered copies of my latest books to the Farm along the road. They own the Wood used in one of the stories. Going to a plant sale tonight so need to get some plants priced up ready. Off to the Wirral for a long walk tomorrow, then back for a Hospital appointment. Need an op which the NHS will not do so having to go privately. It is all go.

Well, the surgery receptionist rang yesterday but the phone was crackly and I couldn't hear her well. I have to go back for another blood test on Monday, as apparently my glucose level was too high, so this is a test for DIABETES!!!!! ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) I was upset, so OH spoke to her and asked about the results of last week's test. She didn't know, so he asked if our GP could phone us, which she did at 6 p.m. Apparently I have osteo arthritis which is not nearly as bad as rheumatoid, thank goodness. The next test is precautionary as my glucose level was just a tad too high on the scale. It doesn't mean I have diabetes at all. Today we are off on our mini break to Port Meirion - two nights of luxury!! W is going off at 8 to be looked after by the 'Barking Mad' people (they always had Henry when we had holidays) and I really, really hope he settles and doesn't howl all the time, or they might not have him again!! Now I must pack, so bye bye for now.

I still have a few days yet Lou78W and plan to go to Norfolk to see some friends there. I am not able to see my garden and that comes from my farming neighbours and my son. I think it has gone to weeds. This means I won't see my cat either. The house has not been finished yet. It is a complete rebuild.

Hi everyone- well, if anyone wants a really special break, I can recommend Portmeirion. It was absolutely magical in every way.
While we were up in Gwynedd, I was allowed to go to Crug Farm plants which was open, hooray!! I had the pleasure of meeting Sue Wynne-Jones, and looking round their garden as well as browsing in the plant sale area. Ooh,,,, such lovely (rare) plants!! I have a huge respect for these 21st C plant finders. They go all over the world plant hunting, and collecting seeds to grow rarities for us unadventurous lot.

I had my second blood test yesterday and the nurse took two samples. I am not sure why. I am supposed to phone at the end of the week to get the results, unless my GP rings first if there is anything significant to tell me... ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) fingers crossed.
