This is a big day. At last I am getting my hair done after 5 months. I have made tomato, chilli and ginger jam, lemon curd, mainly lime marmalade and a pork, apricot and pistachio terrine to take to my son to use his new outdoor table for the first time. He made it out of scaffolding and is very proud of it. He is an engineer, not a woodworker, so this is new. Now that they have a beautiful garden, his interest in plants has grown (at last), and I will be able to test my knees and get on with it. I need gardening exercise. The terrine I have made is a recipe from esther and is always very popular with the family.

Enjoy your day Cherry & the 'hair-do', I haven't had my hair 'done' for 30 years or more - I've always cut mine & even O.H.'s hair for years! I used to colour, streak & even at times demi-perm my own hair when I was younger, I started cutting it when I was about 11 & only went to the hairdressers if I wanted something drastic doing. O.H. used to go to the barbers every so often but after his cancer treatment his hair didn't grow back in some places at the back & he didn't feel happy going so I do it. I like the idea of 'mainly lime' marmalade & the terrine sounds good even though I don't eat meat. I bet your son's table will be good, lots of people seem to have used 'lockdown' to learn new skills.

You have been busy Jennifer, I wouldn't mind those recipes if you have the time to post them I`ve recently been very interested in lots of US "homesteaders" videos, they make and preserve all kinds of stuff. Myself and a friend are about to embark on a "project" of jam, soft cheese, bread, and sweet making. We`re just gathering all the "tools", recipes and products ( we don`t go out much now so plenty of time ) I like the idea of your lime Jam , I remember Roses making a lovely tangerine jam years ago but sadly they stopped making it. I have a pineapple here waiting to be make into Jam. I do hope you enjoy your time with the family.

had a lovely, exhausting time thank you, was late getting back last night as there had been a bad accident and traffic was very slow moving. Think I'll be having a well earned rest today, 3 under 8 is full on

I agree with the confusion issue grindle. The library here is has a very close atmosphere. The rest of that list is questionable.

It seems daft having to wear masks in shops and post offices but not in libraries etc. What's the difference ? We only have to wear them on public transport here so far.
I hope you've both enjoyed your family time Cherry and grindle
