I cannot get on an NHS dentist’s list and had to use a private dentist a couple of years ago, who I thought was not very good. In order to help my bleeding gum in one area, I emailed my dentist in Australia and got a very friendly reply where the hygienist looked up the product I need to check the local availability. The hygienist was new to me and had been working in Cornwall which was interesting. Strange thing to do, but it is lockdown, so I could not ask a dentist here.

I've been using Corsodyl mouthwash for gum problems Cherry, the one which comes in a brown bottle because I had a gum abscess after my tooth broke. I phoned my dentist when they re-opened after the lockdown & had a lovely chat with him & he said to rinse with salt water which I did during the day but I used the Corsodyl at night - the only problem with Corsodyl is that it stains your teeth & I've been brushing like mad using a manual & an electric toothbrush to try & get them white but the staining will come off when you have a scale & polish. Our dentist is Denplan/Bupa but also does NHS work & is accepting new patients now that they've caught up a bit after the first lockdown so it might be worth you phoning around again Cherry.

That sounds like one the Australian hygienist recommended called Corsodyl Treatment Mouthwash, along with 3 others, all containing chlorhexidene which is what stains the teeth. Gosh, you could have told me that. Thanks for the extra info you gave. He told me all this as well and was certainly very thorough in his instructions. I am glad that staining will improve after I have seen the hygienist. I will try the dentist again, but I have been trying to get in for 2 years. Thank you for all this information SueA.

We buried the casket from Beryl's cremation today, in a cemetery overlooking the sea in Swansea. That's where she was from and her family are buried there. It was a surreal experience, I felt as if it wasn't really happening, but I'm glad it's done now. I can move on now.

Thank you grindle and SueA, we decided to plant bulbs all around the memorial stone because she loved the spring.

My first husband died a week ago and I am still in Scotland and tomorrow will look at his greenhouse. He is growing tomatoes hydroponically and I know nothing about this method of growing, but will have a look at the greenhouse tomorrow. What am I looking for and what feed do they need? How so I so it?

So sorry about your ex husband Cherry. I know nothing about hydroponics either but I think you have to check the levels of everything very carefully like the nutrients & Ph levels etc. & change the water often? Did he have special hydroponic food, if you can find that it might tell you on the container how much to use etc. Perhaps if no-one up there can help you you could just transfer the plants to large pots or growbags & grow them on that way.

Thank you for trying to help SueA, grindle and Eli. We think he just felt what the tomatoes needed. The ‘food’ wasn’t branded and we couldn’t get what we needed in the garden centres. My son will have to let them go this year. I came back to Norfolk from Moray by car yesterday and the weather was horrific. It took 10 hours with only toilet stops as I had sandwiches. My son was driving, not me. I couldn’t do a drive unless it was local.
