This is what we have been waiting for since mid-November. As it was. As it is. Only problem is that the cats walked on it before it was set. Builder is coming back to fix that next week.

It looks very neat & tidy geumgrower, you should keep the cat footprints as a memento! ๐๐พ

The trouble with the footprints is that they would lead to the surface breaking up and after spending all that money I would prefer the Drive to survive for a long time.

Tree surgeon came today. He can remove the badly leaning Oak and grind out the stumps which want doing. Wait and see how much he charges, but it has to be done no matter.

And now the roof appears to be leaking, damp patch in the Living room wall. Visit to the roof for me if it ever stops raining.

geumgrower "It never rains but it pours!" Sorry to hear about the leak, let's hope it stops raining so you can have a look at the problem & see if you can fix it - or get it fixed for you.

Managed to get up on to the roof. Had to put together the roof ladder to do it and that takes ages. Cannot see any reason for the leak other than a mound of detritus against the chimney breast. Cleared it away. I will have to go back and look again when we have a long dry period. Cannot put sealant on when it is wet.

I found an art group in a local town so I joined and went along this afternoon. They were a friendly lot, very chatty (unlike me but they didn't mind that) and I felt quite at home among them. I took along some things I'd done a while ago, for them to see, and they were very impressed, and said I had a delicate touch. There was no teacher, just do what you want so I did a small painting.
