Managed to get up on to the roof. Had to put together the roof ladder to do it and that takes ages. Cannot see any reason for the leak other than a mound of detritus against the chimney breast. Cleared it away. I will have to go back and look again when we have a long dry period. Cannot put sealant on when it is wet.

I found an art group in a local town so I joined and went along this afternoon. They were a friendly lot, very chatty (unlike me but they didn't mind that) and I felt quite at home among them.
I took along some things I'd done a while ago, for them to see, and they were very impressed, and said I had a delicate touch.
There was no teacher, just do what you want so I did a small painting.

Well a bit more news from me i said i would tell you what happened to mum well she fell out of bed last Saturday the ambulance was called but they didn't know how long shed been on the floor and took her in nothing broken not bad at 99yrs, well she's still there as she can not eat solid foods everything comes back up this has been going on for weeks just living on liquids.
Needless to say she lost a lot of weight, whether she'll make a 100 goodness knows i'll keep you posted it's been a big worry.
