Cherry & grindle is Covid maybe getting a grip again in Australia? My half sister's husband in Sydney has had COVID recently & was really upset that he couldn't visit her in the care home. Hope that your son gets better quickly grindle, take care & keep up the masks etc as you don't want to come down with it again!

derekbrooks has phoned me & asked me to let you all know that he's in hospital at the moment & hasn't been able to update his diary on here. He went to the doctor's & was found to have a rapid heartbeat which led to him being sent to hospital, he's been given some medication which seems to be working but they're keeping him in for observation for now. His son has been taking care of his wife Rosemary & his daughter has just arrived for the weekend.

So happy to learn that you are home from hospital derekbrooks ...such good news!! My lovely brother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's a few years back and has been sadly declining. Over the last few weeks his mental health has alarmingly and rapidly declined much further .Since Monday he has been in the Acute Medical Units High Observation ward. He has 1-1 care and monitoring and we will be given a very detailed discharge summary hopefully over the weekend, it will advise us of what now needs to be put in place for his safely, wellbeing and comfort our hopes are that we will be able to arrange this in the assisted living setting that we moved him to 3 years go....either with more in house care visits or maybe a live in carer. So very sad and tearful after yesterday's visit to him...day by day this horrid and very cruel disease is stealing our lovely ,kindhearted and only brother from us, his 3 sisters. He has been disabled with servere RA since he was in his late teens early 20s as well ...he's definitely been dealt a rotten hand in life but has always ,outwardly, greeted there issues with a huge smile and a cheeky sense of humour. So glad our parents never lived to see Alzheimer's attack on him as well.

I'm sad to hear about your brother jellibeans I hope some appropriate care can be put in place for him.
Sorry about Derek Brookes too. I hope he has a speedy recovery.
And your son grindle, such a shame he's caught covid while visiting. I hope you'll be able to meet up soon.
Sorry I don't keep up very much, I don't look at forums as often as I once did.
