Popped down the road today to watch the Tour of Britain cyclists whizzing past on the edge of town! We used to go to see lots of cycling stages years ago when there used to be more domestic cycle races like the Milk Race & various other tours passing through Manchester & Leeds going back to the era of Stephen Roche, Robert Millar, Sean Yates etc. This time Tour de France & Olympic Gold medal winner Bradley Wiggins & World Champion Mark Cavendish were in the field. As the first breakaway group went past the weather was fine- 1min 30sec later the main field came through in a rainstorm! In the centre of the 2nd photo is Brad (Wiggins) & just to the right of him is Cav - honest- they're in there behind the rain! ;D

Bradley Wiggins looks like he is from the 70's with those sideboards on his face

We claim Brad as 'Northern' because he lives up here to be near the Manchester Velodrome & Cav because he comes from the Isle of Man & sounds like Scouser! ;D The weather has been very odd for them the last couple of days as it's been a mixture of sunshine & heavy showers, I saw some of it on TV today when they were in Dumfries- very wet & windy! ;D

Sue it was up to 28 when they came to the Norfolk Showground. This is near where they crashed off their bikes.
Your photos are good as always.
