Same here Rosie, but my pretty ones are all away in a cupboard so that they don't get dusty. I wonder where my two sons got their OCD from. I even have a signed Nigella one. I have a signed Hairy Bikers one ;D

I laughed at that. It sounds like we are in competition. Did they sign seperately?

I`d like a new wheel barrow too and I`d paint it pink so you men out there who keep borrowing my "husbands wheelbarrow " and forgetting to bring it back, would be well put off and borrow someone else's. Failing that I`d rather like my piano repaired and tuned, not that I`m very good at playing ( Les Dawson style ) but it might be nice to hear what "in tune " sounds like after 20 years . A bit expensive though may hint for that for my big 60 coming up next year though.

I'm hoping to go to the Computer Shop this afternoon! ;D My best Christmas present of all this year has been a long talk with my elder Granddaughter on the phone yesterday. I love her to bits.

That is really good Geranium, because I have a son who positively encourages the grandparent involvement (even the stepson) and a daughter who seems to stand between us and her children.

We don't see our two granddaughters much, Cherry, partly as they live so far away. As babies and small children, we did though - which makes this doubly tough - their mother is somewhat difficult. Can't say any more. I am getting a new laptop! ;DThe last straw was that it froze at the final hurdle of a long transaction online yesterday morning. :-XThe little shop we use is wonderful - personal service - and he'll transfer all my files over to the new one, and wipe the hard disc on the old one. OH is having that to store his music. I hasten to say that the old one is not his Christmas present!

Years ago we tried to get my old organ fixed but we couldn't:( We went Christmas present shopping to a music shop to buy some child friendly music and there before my eyes were two electric organs. Wonderful, split keyboard organs with an octave of pedals. Came out happy with music but my heart was left behind with those £1000+ organs. A few days later my Husband mentioned that someone at work had put up a note selling an organ for £70 (moving house). but he does not know if the seller still had it "because it had been up on the board a while..." He asked where we would we put it, oh we would have found somewhere. So either my husband does not really know me or he knows me to well! I'd probably be a lot worse than Les but I'd have been happy. Daughter is learning to play the keyboard but it is not the same. I'd have given up on my purple wheelbarrow if I'd have got that organ

Thats what you tell us Geranium ;D He knows he's getting another year of a magazine subscription already, Rosie - so the old laptop is a bonus. I might wrap it up though! ;D

And here it is! You may not be able to see it, but I have my sparkling new laptop. I've been allowed to have it early.

At last Geranium. I got one last Christmas, but don't use it much as this one in the office is conveniently always in place. I prefer the keyboard in the office as the keys are slightly dished. The laptop keys are straight and smooth.

OH bought my old laptop so that I wouldn't always be on the PC. He does all his 'stuff' on there, work reports, high finance, emailing, * Freecell, you name it. * He often has several games going all at the same time, and goes back to them. ;D I'm still marvelling at the speed of my new toy!

Sounds like you are a lot better at using computers than me.
