I managed to find 3 Jomandas but the centres aren't fab and I can't tell when they are likely to drop at the back. My 2 Downham Royals look alright. My 2 Westons look rubbish, probably not worth taking. I am planning on popping down tomorrow to do one last search. I've gut 4 Gurtla Twilight, so I am hoping that I can cover the single bloom pom class if nothing else.
I just hope that I'm not up against another Novice that uses covers because if I am then I would have no chance. The last couple of years there haven't been any other Novices, so I bet this year there will be 4. 1 vase per exhibitor.
Lets hope that the weather improves enough that Dad and his dahlias and ours with mine get there safely.

Good luck for your show, Moonlight. Showing is very stressful so on show day, once everything is staged remember to relax and enjoy the show.

Thanks Mark, looking forward to it, now that I am in the warm and have 2 tins of ball + cactus / semi and a bucket for my poms cut and waiting.

Well I am up time for my early morning . I've got my blades sterilising. It very wet and a lot of blooms down the garden have been ruined but what I am hoping, more than the show is that the plants recover.
The show is really the icing on the cake because whatever happens today, I've achieved a dream. I grew dahlias
and anyway the show part, that's just a bit of fun right?
Time to finish and crack on Rocky.

Good luck girl, I know how disappointing it can be, after all the work you put in, then the weather ruins the blooms. What ever happens you enjoy the show.

That's it time to make HH a cuppa in bed - think he more than deserves one for today.
Brace yourself. It's gonna be a tough one!
Love to one and all in my family but especially my Mum.

Managed to find at least one for each class. My poor lovely dahlias smashed and snapped by the rain.
