Just the same as normal moonlight, keeping the air temp in the greenhouse above 10 and a bit of bottom heat for the tubers and unrooted cuttings.Things are slow but hopefully april and may will be warmer and sunnier so things can catch up.Last year was the opposite march was nice so everything romped away and then hit a wall and slowed down april onwards.

Thank you all for your guidance. I will have to give my cuttings to my Dad for babysitting as my unheated greenhouse is just too cold for them to survive. I think the maximum I've seen it reach is 4 degrees C.
Maybe one year, I'll be able to do this bit myself just not this year.

I have some tubers that are not shooting yet, is it worth putting them in the propogator? They are in pots. What sort of temp would be best to give them a kick? My other tubers have come into growth without any heat just at an average of 12 degrees.
Thanks.

Its certainly worth putting them in heat. A temp of c 20 would be ideal . Good luck ;D

Just don't make the same mistake as me and put lids on them.

Thanks Lou, they are in and warming. I have the propagator in the greenhouse. Its 26c in there at the moment so the door is open and the lids are off. I will put the lids back on later when the temp drops.

I learnt the hard way about using a lid on the propagator for dahlias.

Tubers go mouldy and rot (if left long enough) and cuttings will damp off....

Maybe one year, I'll be able to do this bit myself just not this year. Actually as it is turns out I'm being a bit of rebel. My 4 cuttings are here and sitting in cells of half sharp sand and half compost. The cells are sitting inside the propagator trays on my propagator. I can't put a lid on it even if I wanted to because they are too tall. I'll just have to keep misting them. I can do my best if they take they take if they don't then it is ok because I still have the 3 tubers that I took cuttings from and another 3 tubers to come.
