So far i have decided on... Spuds....King Edward,Druid and Eipcure. Carrots, i love purple haze(purple is my fav colour ) maybe some Chantenay, sprouting broccoli, onions, chioggia beetroot and maybe some iceberg lettuce amongst other salad leaves. Also tomatoes...yum ;D, sungold, g delight, alicante, maybe a plum one too. I had fancied trying aubergines but i may buy a plant as opposed to a packet of 100 seeds!!!

probably quicker to list what I am not growing ;D
I currently have some early toms germinated and 3 varieties of onions, Globo, Bedfordshire giant, and Mammoth, the toms so far are, Tumbling tom red and Cherry cascade.
Far too early for toms yet, it means i will have to keep them warm and bury them deep every time I re-pot but Bruv in law beat me to have the first ripe tom last year by growing the tiny berry types very early...so I'm determined ;D

Still not sown my onions, but no worries, Peter Glazebrook informed me he can send me some of his rejects. he has a few that are slightly below the weight he expects, So i should have a few sent that weigh around the 2lb mark at the moment. ;D

My onions are nearly ready to be pricked out. Not bothering with the big ones until I get this alium leaf miner sorted.

I have just sent away for some rainbow carrots, + some purple haze. They were great the last time i grew them ;D I will have, hopefully 3 large raised beds this year, i already have the one big one Graham did for me last season and i am killing off the couch grass for another 1 at the minute. Oo you are early with your toms Steve, My onions don't seem to be germinating, they were kind of old seeds though Allium leaf miner doesn't sound too good Scrumpy.

It's getting bad in Shrewsbury......loads of gardeners affected by it. Protective netting in my cold frame and at the allotment, and a new bed is my only hope.

Tomatoes, cucumber, chillies, cucumber and a long capsicum in the greenhouse. I have gone over to loads of soft fruits which are using a lot of space, so the necessities are lettuce, French beans climbing and dwarf, perpetual spinach, silver beet, kale, garlic which is new to me, pumpkin (I still can't tell the difference between pumpkin and squash) zucchini and some forgotten veg. I won't be growing potatoes, red beet, carrots, leeks or onions as I am kept in these by growers.

I've got potatoes chitting; broad beans in modues; onion and garlic sets in modules....caulis ready for pricking out....loganberry and honeyberry plants to plant out. I've got stacks of tomato seedlings growing well - most of these will be taken to RNLI lunch club early April to sell.

I've got potatoes chitting but it will have to warm up before I can plant them into their bins. I'll also be planting seeds of 'cut and come again' mixed salad leaves when/if it gets warmer and runner beans.

Just been and measured up what space I can sort out for veg. 18' x 14' so not a lot really but think I can manage the usual stuff. Toms already pricked out into pots and shallots planted in 5" pots to keep them at pickling size. Will have to wait until ground warms up before sowing direct but most things catch up anyway. There will have to be strict planning with intercropping and catch cropping utilised to make best use of space.

I have joined a local leek, veg and flower show this year now that I have more room.So I will be growing pot leeks (which is the only thing you must grow per show rules),I have managed to get 12 yorkshire giants and 12 yorkshire greens. All i need now is a trench to put them in which will be done in the next 3 weeks.I also have a dozen giant onions off a mate of mine and will be growing some runner beans, marrows, tomato's and onions from sets for the show. For eating I will be growing garlic, beetroot, carrots, spring onions, radish, courgettes, leeks, sprouts, swede and lettuce leaf.
