a cloudy humid morning rain arrived in the afternoon and stayed on and off for the rest of the day, still warm though

Another warm and sticky night! When I woke up at 5.30am I was sweating and I'm still feeling the humidity now. The temps are nothing to "write home about" 14C, yesterday was warmer at 6am, but it feels much more. The wind direction, if there is any, is now from the NW. Going to be cooler today with only 22C forecast!

Very humid night last night, resulting in very little sleep. Cloudy today but dry the sun is doing it's very best in trying to breakthrough . High of 25C

We've had a rather mixed day here - the day started off with a lot of cloud then during the morning the sun came out & most of the clouds went away. I spent a while on, & outside, the balcony & I practically got sunburnt! As the afternoon has worn on the clouds have returned & now the sky is totally covered once again! We are forecast a very humid night, especially from about 4am onwards when humidity levels could reach nearly 90%!
On 2 nights this week I've had difficulty sleeping & waking up covered in sweat! Even though we leave the bedroom door ajar, with a slipper to make sure it doesn't close, as well as the bedroom & kitchen windows, so as to produce a current of air, it's still very warm! In fact in our entrance way we have a thermostat for controlling the heating during the winter & when we go to bed it says 25C & when we get up the next morning it says 24.5C! In our living room we have been having 27C every day this week! The fan we have does little to make it more bearable.
We have thermal curtains in our living room, (floor to ceiling), with a 2nd curtain over them that my wife made many years ago. But even though they are mostly closed all day, (because my wife can't stand bright light any longer), the living room becomes an oven! At this time of the year the sun is just beginning to enter in through the balcony windows so around 7pm the room starts to heat up, even though the thermal curtains should keep most of the heat out!

Morning all 👋
A warm sunny day is forecast for today! We begin the day with 14C and clear skies but we are forecast some possible rain showers after the sun sets this evening.
We can expect a warm 24C as our max temp today, not bad at all for the middle of August! 👍😀

We had a rather mixed day yesterday. It started clear but very quickly the clouds covered the sky. Later, about midmorning the sun came out again. Then it was mostly a case of "hide and seek" till the sun set when the clouds got thicker till about 8pm when we had a very light shower. About 9.30pm we had a some very light rain lasting about 15 minutes or so. I didn't know if it continued to rain during the night as I didn't look out any more after about 10pm.
Another warm day in prospect for today with a high of 23C forecast. Sunny during the morning before the clouds return to play "hide & seek" all afternoon. No rain expected.

A nice day is forecast, Friday is our day off from all chores,we go out for the day and have a meal out. High of 25C but a nippy night is to follow !!

we had a 20 minute shower at about 7pm last night. Just enough to wet surfaces but no good for the ground.
