Welcome to a cold autumnal day! At present we have just 3C! The sky is clear but it's a bit early for the 🌞to rise and shine 😂
We had quite a "good" thunderstorm yesterday! It's quite rare to have them here and even rarer to hear more than a clap or two of thunder. Yesterday it was right on top of us! It started with some hail hitting the window and it came down heavily for a couple of minutes then changed to heavy rain. Fortunately very little entered the balcony so no damage to my plants! 👍
One flash was so brilliant that my wife & I were startled & blinded by it for a moment then the crash was so strong that both our son and daughter in their respective homes felt their house tremble! We were looking out of the balcony door and I even went out onto the balcony to take a video of the storm! I wasn't able to stay out long because the strong wind was beginning to push the rain into the balcony.
As a thunderstorm like this is so rare here it becomes a spectacle! But where my wife comes from in Spain it wouldn't be at all remarkable. In fact just a couple of weeks ago they had several storms that make yesterday's here "a storm in a teacup"!

Cold but nice day yesterday but we did get one short but heavy downpour mid afternoon in town. It was very localised as there wasn't any back home.
Today is set to be sunny with a high of 17C.

The dahlia felt the cold last night. It is cold again, but sunny. No proper rain here for a long time.

It's been a cold day here as well but with lots of sunshine as well as a lighter wind than days gone by.The morning started of with only a couple of degrees above freezing! The temps today I don't think have reached the mid-teens C! We are forecast another cold night tonight but not quite as cold as last night. The Met Office app forecasts 8C as our min going up to 18C max. A lot of the night will have clear skies before more clouds roll in. Through from 7am they are supposed to clear away & leave the skies clear with sunshine before they return to give us a day of clouds with sunny intervals.The wind, from the SW, will be light as well so all in all it shouldn't be a bad day tomorrow!  |

Lovely double rainbow last night but no sign of the Northern lights here. Cold start this morning but quite bright.

Felt quite warm in the sunshine yesterday despite the low temp. Today is looking good with temps reaching a couple of degrees higher at 20C.

Yesterday was quite pleasant and sunny most of the day here too. Today's been cloudy and dull all morning with rain expected this afternoon. At least it's still feeling pleasant enough outside though.
