Morning folks 👋
We start the new week and last day of the month on a very wet note as it's been raining for the past hour. I also heard it raining during the night when I woke up several times. It's forecast to rain a lot during the day today and we are under a yellow alert once again for rain, though we were on the southern edge of it
Temps aren't too bad at 11C at 6am. We expect 17C as our max for today.

We should have a mostly dry day today with a high of 17C. with a mid morning spell of very strong winds. This looks to be the last day of our 9 day run of consecutive weather warnings ....hopefully.

We may have ended September on a wet note but October will continue with the wet theme for a few days! The rain we started the day with ended about 9am but we had a heavy shower about 3pm - just when parents are going to pick up their kids from school! Fortunately it was over before 3.15 when the kids actually leave school!
Apart from that shower the rest of the day has been dry but that won't last as we are forecast rain all night till nearly school time tomorrow morning! It has been windy but the temps haven't been too bad with a max of 16C & a min of 10-11C expected overnight. Similar temps are expected for tomorrow as well.

Rained non stop all day today, the field behind our garden has lots of flooded areas & there are big puddles on our patio & front drive, still raining!

east yorkshire was horrendous yesterday, but we have driven down to the new Forest for a 4 day break. Blue sky though cool and promises to stay like this today and tomorrow.

The yellow alert for heavy rain today was spot on! We were in the centre of the warning zone & we did have many hours of heavy rain which is so unusual for us here in Cambridgeshire! We probably had more than 6 months worth of rainfall in the 8 or 9 hours the rain lasted! We live in what's probably the driest region of the UK so 6 months worth of rain is probably not an exaggeration! I don't know just how much we had nor what 6 months rain amounts to here but it's a very unusual event! Most times when we get yellow alerts we see little rain, if any, but not this time around!
Not been particularly cold though with a max of about 15/16C. tonight's min will be around 12C. The first 8 or 9 hours of the day tomorrow we can expect light rain or showers. The rest of the day tomorrow it is forecast just to be cloudy.
