Previous days have been mainly bright and I got to see the Aurora on Thursday night. First time ever and I was so excited I rang both girls [11pm] to tel them to look at it. Which they did.

Yesterday morning there was a slight covering of frost on a few of the roofs of the houses over the road from us! I've not seen frost so early in October in donkey's years! Beautiful sunny morning with a little cloud in the afternoon.

Today has been more cloudy with a couple of very light showers. Been a rather cool day with a stronger wind. The night was very cold - we got down to about 2-3C! Tonight it seems will be cold as well.

But it seems next week we will have a "mini-heat wave" temps are expected to get as high as the mid 20sC next Wednesday & Thursday!

Mosty damp and soggy yesterday...on the plus side we have a clean and tidy house now!!

Hopefully today will be the garden's turn as we're in for a dry and, at times,sunny day with a high of 12 and a low of 10C.

This morning's started off grey and cool, but should stay dry.
