Though it is cloudy & dull here still it seems a little brighter than yesterday as well as a little colder! Even at 1pm we still only have 11C. So we are almost at today's forecast max of 12C. Mins got down to about 6C overnight. The wind while still light has changed to the SW for today but I think tomorrow it's forecast to come from the NW. At least the change in direction of the wind will blow away this awful cloud lid we have been under for the last couple of weeks. On the other hand the change will also bring changeable weather so we can look forward to more lively weather during the coming week with wind & rain featuring strongly.

Damp , grey & drizzly with rain this evening.
The weather was OK this morning though when we (me & my husband) did the 5k Poppy run at 7.45am - I managed a personal record of 33mins 35secs for 5k so was very pleased but exhausted - not bad for 65!

Went home & showered & then went out to the Remembrance service in the park here where we'd been running a couple of hours earlier.

It's a cold start to the day here with only 8C but the cloud cover is forecast to dissipate around midmorning and then around noon the SUN will be victorious - at least for the rest of the day! ☀️☀️☀️

Well the sun finally came out of its hiding place of the last few weeks!

In fact so anxious was it to put in an appearance that it was shining through the clouds on the eastern horizon this morning around 7am!!!

long time no see!

But even though the sun was shining for many hours it did very little to warm up the day!

Our max today may have reached 12C but our min for tonight is only expected to be around 6C! Tomorrow we are forecast sun & clouds & a max temp of 12C.
