A bit miffed as I thought we had a sunny albeit cold day today, I did all the laundry last night so that it was ready to hang out first thing this morning....we have a day of rain and sleet now instead. Grrrrrr! High of 4C with a low of -1C

Well it is certainly dry, but there was a thick frost and it is very cold. However, there is a pale sunshine and no wind.

Bright sunshine now and quite warm sitting here with the light streaming through the office window.

-7C in the greenhouse overnight. Conservatory 6C at &am and house down to 13C. Chilly to say the least. Beautiful moonlit drive back last night from a village near Castle Howard. The drive takes you past the now closed pub that was used as 'the slaughtered lamb' in the film American werewolf in London.
Didn't get above 0C all day and the pond has a good cm of ice too. Aother cold dry clear night forecast. No motor bike ride tomorrow that is for certain!

Hi all 👋
It's a cold start to the day here as well but it seems we may not have any frost as the Met Office app says we have 2C at 6am! But we are under a yellow warning for snow most of today though there's no snow in the actual forecast for Huntingdon.
I saw there is an amber warning for the north of England tomorrow but much of the UK is covered in yellow alerts for snow and ice on Saturday!
What happened to the weather forecast for the weekend? For several days we were forecast temps as high as 13 or 14C! How can they get the forecast so wrong in this age of supercomputers valued in millions of £? It's not just the Met Office either, even Accuweather got it equally wrong, though they forecast strong winds and rain during the weekend. I haven't looked at other weather forecasts by other apps or Web pages so I don't know what they forecast.

Yes we're under a variety of weather warnings until Monday down here on the south coast too balc2 . We had a weird feeling day yesterday as in the morning we had heavy snow fall but by the afternoon it had all but gone and the sun put in an appearance!! Ended up quite nice..albeit very cold. Today we're suppose to have wall to wall blue skies and sunshine all day with a high of 7C and an overnight low of 2C. The weekend is going to be a complete washout with heavy rain and gale force winds....batten down the hatches everyone !!

There was a dusting of snow this morning. It is still very cold, but lovely and sunny.

Rain overnight. Sunny now and the ice etc. is melting. Not that warm though. Pleasant here in the office with the sun shining rough the window. Bill is enjoying that sat on the ledge behind the curtain.

We didn't get any snow here today, not even a drop or two of rain! Yet it seems to have rained during the night as when I looked out the window about 7am the ground was wet. We had some cloud to begin with but that cleared away during the morning. Like the last 3 days starting around noon we had glorious sunshine all afternoon! Nevertheless it was still pretty cold!
Tonight, from 4am, we are forecast rain which is expected to last until 10-11am. We are also forecast strong winds all day & have a yellow warning in place for them. The other yellow warnings have all disappeared, for our region at least, though not for many others.
Storm Bert will be responsible for the wind & rain tomorrow here but it will also bring high winds & snow for the north of England & heavy snow for places in Scotland. There are yellow warnings for snow & wind in N.Ireland as well. The amber warning for the north of England still seems to be in place.

we had the calm before the storm yesterday with plenty of sun but still cold, I think the weekend is going to be very different as we're on Amber weather warnings, Dartmoor has been told to expect high winds and anything from 50 to 150mm of rain today
