"Songs of praise" on B.B.C.1 next Sunday evening is coming from a church in Swinton which is only about 2 miles from where I live.Part of the programme is about parks and open spaces in Salford. Because of my involvement at Blackleach Country Park where I spend a lot of my time, I was interviewed by the B.B.C.to take part in the programme.However I am sorry to say that I am not going to be a television star after all

I would have loved to see Blackleach on the telly. Instead they have chosen someone who does a gardening project in one of the other parks in Salford.I don,t know anything about this but I am looking forward to seeing it on Sunday. I am telling you about it because I thought you may be interested in watching it because it is about gardening.

So you won't see me in the congregation either but several people from our church went.
