This is an excerpt from an email from my brother in Sydney. You’ve probably heard that we have been getting heat and rain. Sydney had its hottest recorded temperature last week with 45.8C and where we are it actually reached 46C. We spent the day at home in the air conditioning. And we complain at our weather  |

I hated the air conditioning and even disliked fans. I timed my visit to return when the temperature soared.
