I think the new forum, is miles better than the old one. We now have a section on dahlias, it seems to have attracted more dahlia growers, to the forum. The whole layout of the forum is a lot better. Innocent words like Janal Amy dahlia, are not Astrix out. i personally was dead chuffed when Steve told me we would have this section on dahlias, rather than it been lumped in with flowers trees and shrubs.

Steve would not dare to lump you in with flowers Tel. Dahlias are not flowers are they? They have a much more elevated position.

Tel, you are well deserving of your own dahlia thread, you give out so much help to folks with growing them, and i'll probs be the next one And you can post photo's too ;D

You've already helped me, Tel. It would have been difficult to carry on your 'online tutorial' without a specific thread, so I'm pleased it's here.

...except that nobody has commented on my little list of dahlias - so I'm wondering if I've made the right choices!

It's still there this morning, and i see as recently as last Thursday the 'GN team' were still posting ......... So there was clearly no such deadline to close at all

I missed all the 'to do' when GN informed you they were plug-pulling as I had been left in the pub when you lot cleared off and I couldn't get out! Anyway, I'd say the site is still live because they have plans for it - it would be far easier (I guess) to revamp an existing site (for whatever reason they have) than it would be to start from a new one. Maybe.... Or they just didn't like us all.... Personally, I am way happier here than I was there purely down to having to mind my Ps & Qs when I wanted to talk about a.n.other gardening publication. That is really bizarre behaviour on a grown-up adult site erm, ok maybe remove the bit about us being grown-up ;D

Ladybird wished us all the last good morning on Saturday 16th and Hilary notified us on Monday 18th, giving us until the end of the same week to finish up. I would have expected then that Friday 22nd was the last date. I expect it should go very soon now.

In a way, i am glad it did not go when it was supposed to. It give members a chance to move items of interest to them and others across here.
