And now enjoying wel deserved rest again, feet high, surfing around on the Ipad (good invention!!!)

having some spare time today i started sowing many flowers seeds, also the ones i got from some forum members. It was good that i was home alone because i took over a part of the livingroom and turned the dining table into a work bench. But after some time i was ready with most seeds. Time to start re-potting my tomatoes In the end i potted 107 plants, but also some pots with 3 plants that i will leave together to have more tomatoes on the same place. doing this for several years already and its working good. After that i claimed a piece of the dining table for few weeks (or longer...) to put some trays with seeds and covered them with a piece of plastic to prevent the soil from drying and create good envoirment for the seeds to germinate. Then i still found some time to take the tops out off my sweatpeas standing in the greenhouse at home. I could say i had a productive day, so a rainy still sometimes isnt that bad.... Tommorow i will give an update on the dahlias

The tomatoes planted three in a pot would need to be in the middle of the greenhouse or tunnel with a path down each side. Mine would get in an awful mess doing that.
Do you sell your surplus Edwin? There are a lot of plants there.

The tomatoes with 3 in a pot are mainly cherry tomatoes, i will pot then into hanging pots on a 8 m2 south wall at home. That will be a wall full of small tomatoes. In the greenhouse i will "only" have about 20-24 plants. ;D ;D And there will be some left, better pot a few more and select the best plants...

And the spare plants will find a new owner at the allotment.. Something went wrong there, shouldn't try to do this quickly during work ;D ;D ;D ;D

Some off the seeds in the propagator already germinated, so i had to put the lights on. Also counted the dahlia cuttings today, 133 cuttings of 42 varieties untill now and still about 20 tubers to come.... Need more space but how to tell this at home.... My wife already tells me its to much... But i just tell her she wanted so many flowers this year.. Could be i wont be around for some time on the forum, hope not but things are not to good with my dad.... Never recovered good after his heart attack last september in my allotment, helping me out.. Been rushed to hospital again for 6th time since then today. But for now i just have to wait.... No news is good news for now.

Life goes on and just have to deal with situation, hoping for the best. In mean time found time to work in garden last weekend. Prepared my dahlia beds , 10 in total and put the first organic fertilizer on it to give it time. Beds are 10 x 1meter and will be holding about 38 plantes each. Also cleaned out my greenhouse and prepared the soil, ready for my tomatoes in some time when freezing at night will be over.... But today still a lot off snow... And despite the cold in the weekend i put my Sugar snaps outside and protect them a bit with plastic for the pigeons. also my tulips in front are doing OK. At the right side there is a piece of Marocan mint under the plastic still protected for the cold wheather. To keep my story a bit together i post a part from another topic on the forum here. Because some are having trouble rooting the cuttings this year, i described how i am doing it here. Also here in Holland things seem to take a bit longer then normal. Few tubers still dont show any sign of life and i think they wont anymore somehow but for the rest not to many black cuttings. Only a few of 185 cuttings taken till now from 49 varieties. Growing them in 5 pieces sharp sand and 1 piece special fine seeding compost. Also using some rooting powder to stimulate root growth. Watering them once after planting and them just leaving them at about 20 C.
