Fastened the Kilmarnock willow back to the wisteria pole as it was leaning badly & when I did I spotted an elder growing underneath it which must have been there a while as it was about 5ft long & I needed to get the 'big' fork out to dig it out. More dead heading & cutting back as well.

Yesterday I did the usual weekly feed of the plants on the balcony as well as in the flat. I also did a bit of deadheading the Petunias on the balcony railings. I didn't do anything else other than admire the many plants that are in flower at the moment. 👌

Planted out some seedlings lurking near the greenhouse in pots & a border, still lots more to go out yet.

I did a little deadheading of the Petunias and Morning Glories and took some more pictures! In spite of the very warm day yesterday I didn't need to water anything.
Today will be a different story and I shall have to water everything, like on Wednesday!

Potted up some more little plants which have been patiently sitting in trays by the garage. Our female blackbird was pottering around nearby waiting for me to empty old compost out of pots onto the borders so that she could sift through it! 😁

Mainly tidying and dead heading as we had a houseful of visitors for the past week and the garden was somewhat neglected.

jellibeans I am recovering from my visitors and having the bathroom renovated, so I am not back to normal yet. However, yesterday, I swept the patio and fixed the pots, also oiled the table and chairs and have generally got ready for my next visitors the week after next. My son and daughter-in-law are visiting from Scotland for Sandringham Flower Show.

noticed the duck weed making a move so scooped out what I could, reseeded the bald patches that were left after open day and did a bit of weeding and deadheading

geumgrower I remember a Deutzia of mine which got out of hand and my son broke a spade trying to get rid of it. I would not let him have my best spade which I won in a radio competition.
