geumgrower ,sorry to hear about your ear problems & the vertigo but I hope you have now recovered from it! It must be really horrible to experience that! I've never had anything like that. But I have had the eardrum of my left ear perforate 3 times in my life. It's not a nice thing to happen & I was very afraid I might have a 4th time last week as I had what I thought was a throat infection. I managed to get an appointment, (miracles never cease to happen!), to see a doctor who told me I didn't have an infection in my throat & that I needn't worry about my ears as they are both clear & she couldn't see any signs of anything untoward taking place in my left ear. Phew! That was a relief!
All I've done on, & outside, the balcony today was a bit of deadheading of the petunias & the Morning Glories. While I was outside I again cleaned a little of the narrow strip of ground around the balcony. Although there appears to be some concrete underneath the grass & weeds they still manage to grow quite well! The worst culprit is perhaps the Field Bindweed which, though it has a pretty pink & white flower, does its best to creep into the balcony or up the chicken wire!
I suppose much of the earth that accumulates there is from when I sweep the balcony & then push the compost, dust & leaves, as well as dried pigeon poo, out of the balcony onto the grass outside the balcony. Then I suppose water from the pots drips onto the balcony floor & then runs outside over the ledge the balcony floor forms above the grass. From time to time I have to weed this narrow strip to keep the weeds & grass from encroaching onto the balcony.

Towards the end of the evening I went out onto the balcony to bring inside the clothes airer. I went back out again and did a little deadheading of the petunias and morning glories. When I finished I checked a few of the pots on the shelving units to see if they needed watering. None of them needed watering but I spied a little variegated Geranium cutting that should have been repotted some weeks ago but had managed to escape my attention so I repotted it into a bigger pot. While writing this I just remembered - I didn't water it afterwards! 😱🤦

Wish I hadn’t read your report on your tidy shed grindle. It has now made me want to clear mine. My tomatoes and climbing beans have not done well this year. The tomatoes are improving but the beans couldn’t thrive well with the cold and windy weather recently. Last year all my neighbours enjoyed my beans. The kale is growing well and with our lack of butterflies, there are no eggs to blemish the leaves. I have some tomatoes which grew from a few ripe tomatoes, and these are doing well, as they are in a better place. I have taken note for next year Have I mentioned that I made 4 jars of jam and a pie from my first crop on one red gooseberry bush. It is really full of good flavour.

Planted out some leek plug plants in a couple of pots & the raised bed which came from an offer on T&M, will see if they survive! 😁

Sounds like you were quite busy, SueA! I didn't do more than water most of the pots, I didn't even do any deadheading!

Like other days it's just watering, feeding and deadheading. I did take some picture of many of my plants with raindrops on their flowers. Even though today's weather is forecast to be a repetition of yesterday's I shan't be taking any more photos of them!

Good to hear that your daughter & husband are with you for a few days seaburn! Hope you have a good time with them both 👍 Like previous days I did nothing more than deadheading and watering. Today will probably be the same. But there is a tremendous amount of flowers blooming on the balcony! 👏👏👏

It's so precious spending time with family, all our 3 live away from the area and it's such a joy when we all get together. Have a great time seaburn . We were out for most of the day but I did get a little time to take a few more cuttings.....not sure what of... pretty pink flowering plants is all I know for certain.

Potted up some Sisyrinchium palmatum self sown seedlings, and some Xmas Box. Took a bag of plants down to the Plant share in the local park, saves having to compost them. Otherwise wandered, weeded, but no watering today for a change.

Planted up 24 little viola plug plants free from G.World/T&M in cell trays & cut down a buddleia which seems to have suddenly died.
