Eli you won't know yourself once the decking is down. It will make a fabulous place to sit out and admire all your beautiful plants. A place where you and Bella can relax.

This morning, like most Wednesday for the last couple of months, I watered all the plants in the flat & balcony with a diluted fertilizer. That takes around an hour & many journeys back & forth between the kitchen & wherever the plants happen to be. After I had finished & seeing that the morning was brightening up nicely & the temps weren't going to be very high, I went outside to deadhead the Petunias & Morning Glories from the outside of the balcony. Lots are missed from inside so from time to time I do them from the outside.
This week our road has been closed for road repairs & this morning they were working the part of the road outside our block of flats. So I had "company" while deadheading!
While I was at it I cleared away the strip of soil between our "lawn" (the patch of grass outside of the block of flats) & the balcony. Even though I did it about a week or two ago the Field Bindweed & Dandelions, as well as the grass itself, quickly reappear so I have to keep on top of them during the growing season.

only had time to scoop out leaves blown down in the strong winds over the last few days and duckweed from the pond, the warmer weather has helped the duckweed to start multiplying quickly again

Harvested some Pentland Javelin potatoes from a tub yesterday & made potato salad with them, think they may have been the last.

All I did yesterday was water the bag of tomato plants on the balcony! I didn't even do any deadheading of the petunias or morning glories.

Had another go at the wild end of the garden cutting back & pulling out some of the nettles & wildflowers which have spread too much, could hardly get to the compost bins or the arbour! 😁

Potted up some Strawberry runners, removed and rehomed loads of selfseeded Verbena Bonariensis from the pathways. Gave everything a thoroughly good watering.

Just a bit of weeding and tidying this morning. Hopefully will do a bit more this afternoon and then water later on. Picked a few beans and beetroot from the garden again too. .

I've been tying in my new raspberry canes and weeded around them, I cut the old ones out a few weeks ago. Also been 'de-Ivying' an overgrown corner - doesn't Ivy get out of control easily and I found some Lemon balm plants I grew from seeds a while ago, they need repotting now. I picked my last crop of peas and disposed of the old plants, also picked some onions and a few cherry tomatoes from plants on the patio.

I watered the plants on the balcony and did some deadheading of the petunias and the morning glories both from inside as well as from outside the balcony.
I went to my son's house in the afternoon to water his pots and came back home with some geranium and fuchsia cuttings! I hope they will root as it's a bit late now. He has many different varieties of both.
