I trimmed the tomatoes rather heavy this time. I picked over 70 tomatoes. I gave the two very tall plants a good feeding with Tomato food, then a good watering.

I need to replace all the log roll on my raised beds this year grindle. It's just too cold to do it at the moment though. I've briefly been outside to feed the birds, and pull a few weeds out of the vegetable plot. I just need it to dry out now, so I can dig it properly.

Not a lot as we've had strong chilly winds for the last couple of days. I have gone out several times to collect up all the battered Daffs.

All I did was feed the birds & have a quick walk around the garden & down the end by the pond where everything is still flooded but some of the water has drained away a little & there's still a lot of frogspawn in the pond although no sign of any of the frogs. A beautiful little male sparrowhawk landed on the fence on the patio in the morning & gave us a good stare through the glass while the wind was buffeting him backwards & forwards, he must have been looking for the robins who still keep looking for a nest site here in the roost pocket in the clematis on the patio & even the woodstore there too.

Spent an enjoyable day in the garden yesterday as the weather was so Spring like. Took out all the over wintering plants and gave them all a check over and a watering then left them out to enjoy a day of fresh air and sunhine. Started off some double Begonias in the greenhouse , did a lot of dead heading and had a general tidy up. Cleaned some pots and sorted out the summer bulbs ready to plant up in the next few days.

did about 10mins outside, ended up in the greenhouse repotting plants that are waiting to be planted, found at least 20 slugs hiding in the pots, my begonia plugs arrived so potted them up too, the rain didn't stop so had to go indoors as there was nothing much more to do in the greenhouse
