Ha ha! I had that clematis too grindle when I lived in Oxfordshire. It grew like Russian Vine. I won't have that again. SueA those insects have damaged your whole personality. You can’t get them out of your mind. Don’t let a wasp near you.

I was looking at a 'Freckles' a few days ago but thought I'd leave it until I know where to plant it. I wonder if it would behave better in a pot ??

You have read the reviews Eli, so bear these experiences in mind when you look around.

Thank you Cherry, I wonder if it will behave better in a tub and not grow so wild.
I have found a lot of rust on my Fuchsias so I sprayed some of them with a fungiside. I think it's caused by the muggy weather.

My patio gets hotter than a greenhouse and the plants burn. When it’s windy, the wind can’t escape and the leaves suffer with windburn.

I'm the same as you lesley, I'm actually worried about doing the garden now as my ankles are only just starting to go back to normal size & the huge blister from one bite/sting has just healed although it's still sore. I've got lots of planting to do & the lawn needs mowing so I'll venture out soon covered head to toe in clothes & insect repellent spray! I harvested a couple of small onions & a yellow courgette for tea, watered in the greenhouse & the baskets & fed the wildlife.

I'm sorry you were stung lesley. I hope it isn't too painful now. And SueA you too, I'm glad your stings are starting to heal, hope you don't get any more. I have had lots of gnat bites in my hair and on my arms and eye lids but they're not painful, just a bit itchy.
I did a lot of tidying and cutting back today, got 3 sacfulls and emptied them into the wheelybin. It was collected on Tuesday and is half full again already. Won't be emptied until a week next Tuesday so I'll have to keep some stuff behind I think.

started off at the garden I'm working in, cleared all the seating area of weeds and brambles so she can enjoy sitting out again, this garden is going to be a mamouth task back home I cut back the shrubs behind my seat, cleared out all the dead leaves that hadn't been done in ages and painted the seat

I did venture out in the afternoon in long sleeved shirt, long pants tucked into socks & boots & sprayed with insect repellent! Bet the neighbours think I'm bonkers. I put 3 more sempervivums in the half basket display on the table by the greenhouse, planted one of the new felicias in the alpine sink & potted up a couple of osteospermums & a fuchsia, watered everything in the greenhouse & baskets & fed the wildlife.

I hope you didn't suffer from heat exhaustion SueA, dressed like that. It has been extremely hot here today, and that's why I did very little. I only watered the tomatoes. They are slow to ripen
