I thought you were going to say he ran into the sea thinking someone was drowning & trying to save their life - not trying to save his shirt libralady! You don't need to do 'Hot Yoga' with a workout like that Cherry! I planted out some herb plants I'd been growing on in the mini greenhouse into the tin bath herb bed & potted up some chives, oregano & parsley in terracotta pots for the kitchen. Also split up a pot of little sempervivums to put a few in the dome display on the outdoor table & a couple in the 'living picture' in the porch.

I earthed up some potatoes I've got growing in big pots, and I watered other pots and tubs. Tidied and weeded a corner where a Cotinus had grown too big so I cut some long branches off it, also straightened some slabs that had gone wonky and repositioned an old chimney pot. I used to have a plant in it but no longer. I was going to water my Fuchsias and plant a Centaurea in the ground but I didn't

Just watering, bit of weeding & feeding the wildlife - the garden was heaving with baby birds & their parents yesterday with them all throwing compost out the plant pots & ripping leaves off everything looking for food , lots to do though so hoping to do some work in the garden today.

I hope you got lots done SueA I didn't do anything today but I did find two very tiny Dahlia tubers, about the size of my thumb, and they had started to sprout, so I put them in water to revive them and I'll plant them soon. They were from a batch of seeds I sowed last year and I thought they were dead

planted out my courgettes, dahlias, heliopsis and annuals. Sorting out a lot of plants to pick the better ones for the plant sale. One of the garden club people came round to pick up some things, so we had a wander around the garden which rounded the day off nicely

I planted up the two big pots at the front door with summer plants & tidied around them, suddenly realised I was being watched - a little woodmouse had popped out from behind one of the pots to see what was going on, I spoke to it & it moved closer, I swear if I'd had a peanut in my hand it would have come up & taken it from me!

I've heard a mouse running under the stairs lately, and yesterday I found that it was coming in through a hole in the wall under the kitchen sink, where an old copper gas pipe was removed years ago. I covered the hole with an old slate and put two bricks to hold it in place until I can get the hole filled in. The mouse didn't leave any droppings so you'd never know it was there if you didn't hear it running and scratching.
I haven't done anything in the garden today.

made a start on the overgrown shrubs at the back of the pond, I'm hoping to replace the liner this summer so everything needs to be cleared, didn't get quite as much done as I'd hoped as it was fathers day, so we were skyped for quite a while

Only put a little pelargonium in the pot by the garage, watered everything in the greenhouse & the hanging baskets & fed the wildlife.

Went to the 'pound & more' shop & got a pack of metal 'S' hooks so that I could plant up & reposition the two half hanging baskets off the fence as I couldn't reach across the borders to water them anymore. Planted up one & hung it up on the fence by the patio but then when I took the other out of the logstore I'd left it in I realised that half the coir liner was missing - must have been ripped out for nest use! Will have to find something to patch it up with or a new liner first now. Watered in the greenhouse & the hanging baskets & fed the very hungry wildlife.
