Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone had heard of/been on any garden-themed cruises?
I've been having a look around and am interested in seeing other culture's gardens etc but am unsure of how worth it it'll be..

Wouldn't really call it a cruise but I usually get the ferry boat at Hampton Court to take me downriver to the Flower Show. Beats walking.

Well, really I was looking for a holiday at the same time but in line with my interests ;]
Would you pay money upwards of £1500 for a holiday and guides around other countries? :/

Well.. I'm banking on the fact that I won't be swimming, otherwise I don't think I'd be considering it ;] Sharks.. [shudders] Also, I'm hoping there wouldn't be too much swaying

I've been on a few cruises, but not garden themed ones (hubby not a gardener )......the ship doesn't sway btw Cruises are a good way to see a number of different countries without the hassle of packing bags and getting flights etc., and if you are getting on in years.....it makes it very easy. We prefer the smaller cruise ships and its very easy to "get away from people". You have the choice of buying into the trips and tours organised by the ship, or "doing your own tihing" which is often cheaper and more enjoyable....We have met some very nice people and have kept in touch with a few.

Hi tsujima; I have been on a Garden cruise to Lisbon and I loved it! Definitely take your camera, though!
I would just say you don't really get enough time there, although it's a great way to perfect a holiday!

I have heard that Madeira is a must for any cruise for garden lovers.
