Last year I managed to go on a kind of garden themed cruise around the Med. The main port of call I wanted to talk about was Lisbon - I loved it! And for garden fanatics I honestly do think it is a must see!!
We visited the old but beautiful botanical gardens in Ajuda Quarter, its origins are in the 18th century and it truly is stunning! Has anyone else been here?
They do guided visits and even catered well for my young daughter - she loved being among all of the flowers; I think she's definitely her mummy's little girl!

I went to Lisbon many many years ago, but wasn't in garden mode then, it's a beautiful city though

I went on a cruise once, well a trip down the canal on a barge, we saw reeds, bullrushes and dandelions, and the beer was in with it, very good value |
