When i bought Brenda T, it was advised to grow it 9 up. But if you have grown it 6 up it looks like it it makes no difference to the size of the bloom. With been told to grow 9 up, i thought that would be to keep it down to size.

As a bit of a guide, it is far bigger than the senzoe that i grow 6 up. If i wanted a multi vase and wanted Brenda the same size as Senzoe i'd probably have to grow it 9 up to bring it down. However, blooms at this time of year develop a lot quicker so it may be bigger in September. None of my smalls ever reach ring size anyway, so it's a nice change to see something getting close to it

susan gilliott little bit to go yet, but tel, i think you are right, it does lack depth. Cracking stems though. Quite a nice size too.

Dikara Moon. From the description i was expecting a larger bloom. They may well go bigger but because of the cuttings and how i had to grow them they probably didn't have much chance of getting to size. and what i think may be Ryecroft Magnum Decision now is which one of these to grow

we'll see how the rest of the blooms compare and how they look in a vase....both look quite good, the magnum is a bit more refined i think. Backs of the blooms look good on both.

At the top Oretti Bliss, middle Mary's Jomonda, Winholme Diane, bottom Senzoe Ursula. Oretti all over the place, though better than the first blooms. They're not too bad considering the rain that's been on them.

The leaves are wrinkled. Obviously, that is alright.

For showing, i'd cut off any badly damaged leaves to make the arrangement better but it's the bloom that counts.

Fully formed susan gilliott....amazing what a few days can do to a bloom as the depth has improved a bit. Here's some with staleen condessa

Ryecroft Zoe Now this one i like. Again, careful tuber selection and this could be a winner.
