Sorry sweetpea I heaven got a camera as I said it has a small flower similar to a gladiola I will take it out the tub and put it in the border as its to tall

It wasn't a Byzantine Gladiolus, was it? Apologies for the blurry photo - I couldn't find a decent photo in my files. Latin name - Gladiolus communis subsp. byzantinus.

I love this gladdy and had so many at my Oxfordshire house that I planted lots of them at the school. I have none at all here. I might remedy this very soon. So reliable and definitely not top heavy.
