I haven't posted for some time and now I'm moaning about a greenhouse! I suspect you are thinking why is she back now and moaning!!
Since retiring (early ) to enjoy time and for health reasons . I had thought I could enjoy my garden and my leisure, but the celestial being had other ideas.
My Father had a stroke and although he made a good physical recovery his cognitive skills were very compromised and I had to spend a lot of time with him. Back on the recovery road and things going well, my 22yr old Daughter was generally not well and it was taking some time for the Dr's to get to the reason mostly telling her it was psychological then she became quite bad. I took her to A/E and was referred to ENT urgently, after a couple of weeks they did a CT scan and whilst waiting for the results she deteriorated. When I took her to get her results we were told she had Lymphoma. The cancerous mass was pressing on her heart and there was a good possibility of her dying, she was too young for a stent, so they treated with massive doses of steroids, thankfully this enabled her to start her Chemo. Thankfully the chemo although distressing and debilitating was successful and she is now in remission.
My Father who had been muddling along nicely then had a heart attack, and once he came home I started to realise he had lost even more of his self and because he is able bodied not need in help to dress ect he isn't given any care or help, so it all falls to me. So I have a lot less time again.
Things are only now getting back to "normal". Daughter back at Uni and working part-time and Dad muddling along. still have to take him shopping and sort out most things for him and be on the end of a phone when needed.
Last year the allotment was not well kept the fruit was all given away and a lot of veg just never got planted, this year I am just getting back on track. Who knows how long before the next lightening bolt fro above!! but for now peace and calm and the garden/ allotment are my salvation.
