I have 3 quite large blueberry bushes that are in very big pots but I have no idea of how and when to prune them. It's quite obvious now that they are in full fruit to see which bits need to be pruned off but afterwards I find it really baffling. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am afraid I am in the same boat as you Jasmine, I have had one in a pot now for about 5 years never been pruned.

Thanks Rosie..that's a relief not to have to worry about that as it's always a case of finding the right day when I'm feeling okay to do anything in the garden which often doesn't coincide with what the weather is doing.

Interesting reading that blueberries don't need much pruning, relieved to hear that as pruning anything baffles me no end. Why can't everything be as simple as pruning autumn raspberries lol snip everything at the base.
