I have a small front garden which was covered with slabs, and the wall around it was crumbling. Also, when a lot of work was done inside the house, all the debris was dumped on the little garden ... (I had taken the slabs down the bottom of the back garden, to form a path )

Then I had it filled in with top soil (can't find the photos of it arriving) and proceeded to fill it with plants
These photos were taken in June.

Then I sprinkled some seeds there, but they grew too tall, so now it's a bit of a mess ... but never mind .... they are annuals and will die off later on. Then next year I can plan it better

So Hywel, what have you decided to plant next year? Thank you all for your positive comments about my front garden
Moonlight - I thought I'd plant a few Heucheras and hardy Fuchsias next year. There are some there already, but they're small as yet, and I hope that a few more will help fill the little garden out. I think I'll also plant the Begonia semperflorens around the edges, like I did this year. They are nice and colourful ...
