I entered a vase of Garden Friends at a local show yesterday. It received a first. Note the exhibitors name on the prize card.

Terry that is marvellous and I did look at the name of the exhibitor/s. Only you could be so unselfish. What a lot of work.
I was going to put a photo of mine on the forum, but I have been quite busy here and it does not look as good as yours. However, everyone who is forced to go around my garden stops at this dahlia to admire it. The bees love it at 6 a time on one flower.

Thanks Cherry, I have sent a entry off last week for one of the seedling classes at Harrogate. I was hoping to take Birkinshaw Pudsey for this, but the form is not looking like it did last year so far. I will take a look at it again this Thursday morning, if not good enough it will not be taken. Then because I have made a entry for that class, if there is 3 Garden friends that I think will beat their peak Friday morning when the judging takes place I may take them instead, at least a few thousand people can have a look at them then.

Filled out the Application For Registration Of A Dahlia Name, When I get a decent pic of Garden Friends I will post it off to The International Dahlia Registrar, The Royal Horticultural Society's Garden Wisley. Then If the information I have sent is ok. We should receive a Certificate.

The Garden Friends are now up from the allotment, the 7 plants have made very good tubers, they are now stored away for the winter. Just one left in the front garden to lift once the frost has hit it.
