What a grand place to visit. There were no Nerium oleanders which I associate with The Mediterranean and areas nearby. What a wonderful holiday Geranium.

No, I didn't spot any Oleanders in any of the gardens, Cherry, but there are several bordering the path by the lake along from the hotel. They sold them in the little Garden Centre in the village, too. Yes, it had one to browse in - interesting to see what Italians can choose! 20mb image hostingI liked these little Euphorbias. picture sharingGentians, but we can buy those here. greenshot screen captureI didn't think BA would let me take one of these on the plane! free image hostingWhat on earth is this? They also had orange trees, grapefruit and trees with those little orange fruits (sour!). image uploadAvailable in very large pots! (Also very expensive.)

Yes Geranium. It is interesting to find out what the locals are buying. I looked up the citron steve. It must be one of the original lemons. Not so pretty.

Doubt you would get one of these statues on the plane either. They do like their statuary in that part of the world. it all looks very enticing.

Yes - I liked them too, SueA. There was a pot of them on each of the hotel tables by the lake. I haven't seen them in the UK - but I bet they're not hardy here! I assume you can eat the Citron or use it in some way? The little sour orange things I couldn't think of are Kumquats, I think.
