Hi people I am working in woodbarrelshop . We have some ideas for gardens. One of this is the rain barrels are great and simple way to reduce storm runoff, which contributes to stream and lake degredation. Rain barrels can also be configured to be used as a water source for your garden plants, reducing use of municipal water.
In other hands we have more atractive products to improve your garden style to vintage style.
One of the uses that usualy used :

Methinks Tel would prefer his barrel full of a certain liquid other than water

No sweetpea, Tel is a beer drinker. Now I could take a tot of malt. I can't see a website, so no advertising rules have been broken but I will keep my eye on this.

Steve and myself would have ago at emptying that of beer. Plus its already tapped that would save us a job, tapping a barrel can be messy.

He could even join us on the 'Welcome' thread.

I'm on a water meter, so barrels are a must .... Mine are of the plastic variety, 2x220 litres and 2x 100.... Still ran out a few times last summer......maybe another 220 perhaps, just for a small garden too!

I am in the driest part of the UK and we have no water meter which is very lucky for me.

Some irony in that as , being in S Wales I'm in the wettest , and quite possibly the most expensive for water too.

These barrels also make an excellent smoker. I piped the smoke into one via 10meters of s/steel chimney liner. Worked perfick!

daitheplant I am sure you know that I am not very bright when it comes to computers (or figures), but we are not getting the hard sell, and the barrels are good in gardens. I think we will let that one go.
