I know I shaould know this but memory being what it is ........well1 So what causes spuds to get those nasty blue bits inside? I thought it was frost damage but there has been very little hard frost here so far. Anyway, answers not on a postcard please.

Could it be soft rot, sweetpea? I don't think so. The blue bits are as firm as the rest. Also it is not spraing which is quite different. I am leaning toward it being frost damage.

I wonder if the prolonged hot weather this year, had anything to do with it.

I`ve just checked the Potato Council website and they show nothing resembling what your spuds have sweetpea.

I`ve just checked the Potato Council website and they show nothing resembling what your spuds have sweetpea. These particular ones were Desiree from Tesco.
