My best present came a week before Christmas - my CT scan and other test results were all good and my next appointment is in August That's brilliant news Esther, I also had gardening vouchers for Sarah Raven, boxes of chocolates various novels one of which I've almost read!!! from OH a years subscription for gardening mag 'Grow your Own' starting January.  |

You'll have to let us know how you get on, sweetpea - let's hope it's a happy new year gift! Well usually I just clamber up onto the examination bed thingy  Seriously though, in my case it is usually just a blood test for PSA levels and sometimes another test which I won't go into in detail as it might put you off your turkey leftovers  I tend not to get over concerned about it all as I've been through much worse and still around to tell the tale. Getting back on to the thread: we decided not to buy presents this year as money was rather scarce to put it mildly. In the event however we did get a few small things as there is no way I would go without getting something for the others to unwrap. No Christmas tree this year as that would have been inviting disaster with the kittens climbing everything in sight. Mind you if I got the camera ready maybe we could have been a couple of hundred quid better off by sending a clip to 'You've been framed.' |

Thankyou everyone I hope everything goes well for you,too,Sweetpea The other fabulous present we had was a 2 week holiday in Trebetherick, Cornwall - staying in the place we used to stay in when Barry was a gardener for a family and they used to give us the use of the bungalow for a holiday each year. |

I did not know Barry was a gardener esther. Was it a significant birthday of importance because I think he shares my birthday? What a wonderful holiday you must have had. I bet your brought some more ideas back. |
