What did you get for Christmas? I have a lovely pair of black suede gloves, a candle made from a cardboard tube from our oldest great-granddaughter (aged 2!), and a box of Ferrero Rocher, as well as one of Crabtree and Evelyn goodies - hand cream etc, a CD of 'Il Divo' and books. I can't think what else at the moment. No gardening vouchers this year, though.

No bags of potting compost again this year. So will have to go get my own with the Garden Gift Tokens I received.

Got garden vouchers & cheese & wine from our lovely neighbour, bottle of wine & chocs. from half brother & book, chocs./sweets & clothes from husband - some of the clothes were a size too big- not a problem I'm just eating all the chocs. to fill them up! One of the gifts was marzipan sprouts! They look great & fortunately taste of almonds!

This was the book- lots of photos of 'naughty' dogs with signs saying what they'd done wrong, very cute & funny!

Marzipan sprouts - lawks! They look great but I think I'd *almost* prefer to eat a real sprout... maybe... I didn't really get many gardening gifts this year either - a fun pair of purple polka dot light gloves, and a big double Amaryllis, which I'm really looking forward to growing as I haven't had a double before. My husband gave me a rather nice bracelet, it's cool as it's an old gold watch chain re-worked - bit unusual. So I shall try very hard not to lose it in the compost! Always a worry with any jewellery I wear! I must ask for Garden Gift Vouchers another year. Somehow it never occurred to me before - sounds brill.

I'm not at all sure about marzipan sprouts either - I'll pass on those and stick to Ferrero Rocher! I had a couple of novels too - so I shall settle down in front of the log burner and have a lovely peaceful relaxing afternoon if the weather's still horrible. I haven't listened to my 'Il Divo' CD yet, either.

SueA they look like real fun gifts. You always make me laugh. Very nice BessI got an anthology of Vita Sackville-West's writings and a generous Suttons gift voucher. I am quite excited about my DVD set of Young Montalbano. A monthy gardening magazine from Australia will start in January for a year. I got champagne and a huge box of Thorntons chocolates, wine, etc., but these are from the pilots and they have to keep on the right side of me.

I quite like sprouts, the real ones & the marzipan ones! Keep those pilots in line Cherry , they might start plying you with jewellery next!

SueA the pilots are pretty good actually. I think I told you that one of them gave us a big barbeque to leave in the hangar.
