It got the lowest points in the 3 vase class and they weren't too bad, so you are probably right. Struggled on two varieties to get a decent vase, Barbarry Pip and Blyton.
The moonlight sport was really clean, pleased with that one.

Well done scrumpy, some lovely flowers there.
Staged some entries at my local show yesterday, not just dahlias but veg, chrysanths and a display also.
Managed to win the chrysanths with 'Pearl Enbee Wedding', second with exhibition shallots and the display class and third with peas and miniature decs.
Very high standard of entries this year especially the dahlia section where we had nine staged exhibits in the championship. More local people entered the veg classes this year which is always good to see, especially when they have not shown before and they get among the cards. Entries overall were up by 100 on last year so hopefully the future looks rosy.
No photos unfortunately as in the mad scramble to get everything ready I forgot to put it on charge.

Should be there about 6 o'clock. Drop whatever we have off, then off to find the hotel, then back to start arranging about 9. After todays rain and gale, will probably finish the arranging by 9.15

Well Done in your show markb. Which miniature dec varieties did you enter? We have Chrysanthemum classes in our local show but in the last few years there have not been any entries which seems sad. Good to read that there are more entries at the show, if it is anything like ours - competition is quite fierce. Pity about the photos, be good to see them next year.

Judge was Robin Pearce. First judge ever to show points awarded in the multi vase as opposed to 1st, 2nd or 3rd. My best vases were marked 20 points ( Moonlight sport in the mediums, Zoe sport in the smalls, Mary's Jomanda in the miniatures) The Zoe sport looked good. When I measured it, it was as close as you can possibly get to the ring before going oversize. The moonlight sport was good too. Will sort out pictures tomorrow. My Dad says Moonlight sport looks really nice, lovely blooms, nicely shown. Must have grown them really well to get them that good. He also thinks your Zoe sport looks really nice to.

Did the first of our shows yesterday. Only a small Dahlia Club Show but only second attempt at showing. Waa very pleased with the two firsts, five seconds and three thirds.
Next show in two weeks so hopefully will have a bigger selection to take.
Will try and post up some photos.
