Can anyone suggest a small Dec for next year maybe something that's caught the eye at the shows?

Super photo of the show Tel. The local paper there or the committee would like this one. How lovely to have the brass band there.

Has anybody grown Clearview Arlene, it's a medium semi cactus, pink with a yellow/cream centre. I've ordered it from Ridgeview nurseries along with Cream Capella. Hoping to get some advice Grown Clearview Arlene but wasn't that fussed but just because that was my experience doesn't mean that that it will be the same for you. Clearview Louise wasn't fab either but Scrumpy's shown his and done well. You could be lucky.

Like all dahlias, don't be put off by first years growth. I would have ditched Louise until I saw the 2nd flush. Now I have to work on getting that 2nd flush first if you see what I mean.

The problem for me is that I don't have a massive garden or an allotment and my garden has to be a one where the children can run about and ride their bikes etc. I don't have a lot of space and if something isn't really up to scratch compared to others then, it is probably a good idea to drop it and try something else. Let us know when you've cracked it, might grow it if you do.

Lou78W that was very good of you to put these photos up for us. They are a bit different because they are displays and not exhibits. I wonder how they did the smoke thing in the Bromeliad display. Very good pics.
