Thank you for the welcome. Enjoyed the show. It was a busy few days. Cutting 800 or so to bowl up 600. Had a few exhibits in the show itself then judging in the morning. My feet are still recovering! The fields are open until the first frosts but it would be good to see you this weekend. Liked your collerette Tel. Saw it at the trials on the way down to Wisely for judging but only a few flowers out on it then. Similar colour to Hootenanny but plant habit is much better. Fingers crossed we get there!!....If no-one on your team took any pics of your exhibit, I would be happy to let you have a copy of the ones I took..... Thanks Lou. I'll have a look though but my wife got quite a few good shots on her mini ipad. Hopefully you'll get there- 40 cakes are getting baked and I can't eat them all myself!

Kent mini members tonight. Lovely evening some nice blooms on show.
Best single bloom
Dave Spencer with a beautiful new small Dec. A seedling raised by Andrew aspital. Excellent form and centre. They have high hopes for this Dave showed 5 new single blooms very nice 3 very promising. No pictures sorry.
Got distracted chatting to everyone and watching the judging.
Best vase in show
3 cherwell goldcrest was a lovely set very well matched for colour depth and size.
Best 2 vase 6 Oakwood goldcrest.
I really do not like gurtla twilight. Horrible colour. Even though prolific winner.
Darren Everest and John Carter lovely men.
Really enjoyed it.

I don't have any shows to worry about but at the same time I haven't been able to cut any flowers for bunching as just too damp. Saying that I need to leave plenty of colour on for the wekend. re Winholme Diane- no marking on ours either and they are not covered. Had the best flowers I have seen on it this year - for us anyway. The only damping up to yesterday has been on White Moonlight. Eastwood still seems Ok though the mizzle is heavier tonight. Hope things go Ok. There are a few shows this weekend- Northumberland and Durham have got theirs on Saturday so hoping not too much of a problem for them either.

There is about 30 grown 8 up, I wanted these out last week for Harrogate, 11th Sept non out. Next year Harrogate would be today. But you cannot win, the other small decs have spotted now. Weather wise, if we get the still damp misty nights we have had here all week, at this time next year the Harrogate entries will be well down on this year for everyone.

No spotting here yet. Plenty of rain though. My Dianes are clean as a whistle. Trouble is, the stems are a bit weak so they are collapsing. Brenda looking good too.

Had 5 heavy mists on the trot now over night and not a bit of breeze, cut 8 eastwood moonlights,10 kenora challenger and 5 ruskin michelle off tonight for sunday I dare not leave them on any longer damping really starting to set in now.On the plus side winholme still clean just not many flowering yet. Will cut the rest tomorrow afternoon. My brenda t are doing what they did a couple of years ago blowing there centres very quickly and my oakwood goldcrest just do not look right at all.All in all a bit of a mixed bag this year.some good stuff some bad stuff some late stuff (knocked some varieties back to heavily).
