Close up of the underside of that leaf, is this red spider mites?
A lot of the more experienced growers seem to if in doubt bin it but it is one of seedlings and I think it would be sad to bin it.

It is not the end of the world ML as you have given two away to be looked after, which was a great idea. I am pleased that you found Clearview Jenny. I think that you are right Cherry. It isn't the end of the world. Just a bit sad. Still it isn't dead yet.

Not forgetting my rather leggy Ruskin Myra, that Dad brought round for me. From my tuber from dcdahlia.

Dad has been round and had another look, spotted an aphid.
I've now quarantined it and another red balloon, i.e. they are now living in the garden, they've unfortunately had to be evicted from the greenhouse. Dad is trying to get hold of some premixed spray.
Tried a couple of places today and can't get it, he'll be back when he has found some. Also removed 1 of my Weston Flamingos.

Dad won't be round today but my Sister has bringing gifts.
1 Weston Pirate, 2 packets of World cup football stickers, a Clearview tuber and spray bottle of insecticide.
I've managed to drag, lift, stagger carry my large tubs of Downham Royal, to have a bit of a sunbathe. Given everything in the greenhouse a big water and intend on inspecting each plant as I spray them.
I also want to pot up my Downham Royal seedling, the one whose cotyledons hadn't opened fully and had remained joined together. I've tried very hard to be patient and not potted them up because I wanted to give the plant a chance to work out what it was going to do, how it was going to continue to develop.
I think that now is as good a time as any to pot up.

Been down again but I've run out of spray and still feeling grotty. My poor Weston Spanish Dancer tuber plant is smothered in the beasts.
Not impressed, not in the fact that my plants have aphids, not impressed with the fact that I failed to protect my plants from them.

Moonlight I thought you would not remember my name. That is why I am so interested in this cutting which you temporarily misplaced. Funny that you have Downham Royal, when I live near Downham Market. Still, they are just names, but they must have come from somewhere.

I didn't like to tell everyone your real name was Clearview but of course they all know now on the other hand it might be 'Biddenham' as the dahlia biddenham Cherry named after you
