Had a 2nd rubbish day, so I have cheered myself up a little by putting together a Rogues Gallery of single bloom close ups of next years dahlias / wish lists. Going to stop now, going to bed, need a cuddle. Horrible, horrible, horrible day.
May tomorrow be sunnier and happier.
Night all.

Miniature / Small Ball Downham Royal* Red Balloon taken in my garden and not in full bloom.
*This is the Downham Royal that I entered in the Novice Cup. Taken inside at the show, so that top outer rim of petals give a better indication of what it really looks like, (Windows to the back and left) a tiny bit lighter than the centre.

Balls
Jomanda and Mary's Jomanda grown by me in my garden (Don't like the Mary's Jomanda photo but I couldn't find a better looking one. Mary's Jomanda is a controversial Ball because my Father is adamant that it is not a ball dahlia but a dec. Interestingly it is classified as a dec in the US.....)

Large and Giant
Sir Alf Ramsey Trooper Dan
Kenora Valentine did really well in the county show and I love the colour but think it will probably be best not to try this year. Going to have to stick with Trooper Dan (Dad's recommendation) and I'm growing Sir Alf mainly because my family like it (I do to) because show wise highly unlikely to have anything to show with, as I can only have one plant and timing would need to perfect and very lucky.
