October 9th - Collected seed heads from Kenora Valentine - 2 seeds. Gurtla Twilight - none and more Marston George.
Weather has been pants, we've had strong gusts of wind, lot of wind, pouring rain, thunder and hail. The dahlias look sad, all bent snapped and soaked.
I want to collect more seed heads but they are saturated. Have had an idea.
Going to try putting the seed heads (NOT SEEDS) into Vermiculite. I need to pick a lot more than I can go through for seeds. I was thinking at least if they were stored in Vermiculte for a few days they won't be getting any wetter...
Might try it with the Benda Ts, there are loads of seed heads on them.

I did not get any seeds from my poms, they all rotted off, but not too bothered about that, will still have seeds to sow next year.

is it possible you could have had Man flu Moonlight. not sure if there is a female variety but it knocks the males of the species for six. Hope you didn't sneeze when counting your seeds because that tends to make the surrounding air turn a shade of blue.

You would not wish it on your worst enemy (is excluded) I have had to live alongside woman flu and I know it is grim (especially for the nearest & dearest) Tomorrow Sunday I am going to be so busy doing the hundred and one things that require doing but what thanks do you get? Mo, 'I have a dinner to cook' Me, I have to eat it Just kidding. I don't mind eating

That's right, train 'em up young Forgot to mention that as soon as she had finished she wanted to go back out and get another. I had to explain No because it was pitch black outside. She wanted to go and find another yesterday but I told her that she had to finish both her English and Maths Homework. Bless her she out to get another but when she came back she told me that there were none ready and that she had found a slug.
"I don't like slugs" I was told emphatically. Bless her.
I don't think there has been enough time for Fairy's to have any.
