've managed to collect seeds from: Giants Kenora Valentine and Trooper Dan Medium semi / cactus Eastwood Moonlight and Peach Delight Small: Ryecroft Zoe, Red Balloon (+S.D.) Miniature: Marston George Spanish Dancer Collerette: Garden Friends Waterlilly: Edwin's Sunset Pom: Willo's Violet.
The smallest no. of seeds is Kenora Valentine with 2 but I'm chuffed to bits that we have had any with all the rain we have had here.
If I get any seedlings to grow, should be quite a wide variety. I'm hoping that some of the deep dark colours come through on the seedlings, had quite a lot of shades of Jomanda this year. Be nice to have something a bit different.

Tel Have you managed to collect a lot of seeds from Garden Friends? I collected a few, there is a lot of seed pods still on the plants. But if I collected all of them, I would not have room on the allotment for anything else.

I understand what you mean but with me I am to collect seed from single plants and I try and collect all the seed heads on each plant. Some of the seeds are white so they have not been kept maybe because being late initial planting but really I think it is the weather here. No need to complain have more varieties of seed than last year but even if I had of collected 200 of each I wouldn't assume or expect for loads of plants.

Fab colours moonlight. Going to get out the computer and put it all on a spreadsheet. Have all my notes written down.
I really like our taste in dahlias.
What did you think of Clearview Audrey, peach delight and Weston flamingo ?
I am really tempted to try a medium cactus or semi cactus. I think I will do a few of them as singles and see.

A lot of work in the planning phase Moonlight. They look beautiful on paper. What I want to do is put together a row of what they looked like, individual blooms in situ.

Very boringly. I take each individual dahlia crop it to make a square, resize it to roughly the same size as the others give or take the pixel. Then I copy and paste each photo into a table in a word document, take a screen shot. Crop it down to the edge of the table and then save it as a column. Told you it was boring.
