Daphne bholua 'Jacqueline Postill'. This is covered in scented flowers. I love it. This is taken for the tapestry effect.

Took a few pictures this morning, phone pics so not the sharpest quality but here they are The first which is a bit of a sorry excuse of a plant I would normally have taken this in to the greenhouse for cutting material but the longer it has gone on the more I am interested in seeing how long it survives, had no protection other than from one side being a wall This one is another I am interested in seeing how long it can get through the winter, it hasn't been too harsh a winter yet and they are having success with breeding petunias these days that are borderline hardy, these are in a few tubs around the garden and do still look healthy A dwarf Fuchsia 'Lottie Hobby' that Rosie kindly gave me a number of years ago I also have snowdrops but will try and get a picture when fully open as they are quite a nice double

Isn't it amazing what has survived from last summer! Little 'Bill Wallis' hasn't stopped flowering! Do you remember my rescued Hellebores? Here's a flower from one of them. You can see why I was so pleased that two plants survived.

steve your Mahonia is nearly over. Mine is just coming out. They could be different varieties as there are so many now. Are the petunias single and scented or double? I wonder if breeders are getting too smart as they would be no good for bees if they were double. I don't mean to be rude, because if they keep going over winter, that is a plus.

Beautiful irises Geranium, I love Katherine H, mine are almost out. I've got George too but mine are more blue than purple so perhaps they aren't George, although they have similar markings on the petals to yours.

I like Bergenia, but mine don't look as if they want to flower. I used to hate it when I was a child. I nearly stepped on a snake near Bergenia on the way to school.

Close up of my Daphne bholua 'Jacqueline Postil' taken this evening. Only planted three years ago, it has never been better. Euphorbia characias looking slightly scary! Not quite in flower but almost. Hasn't seen any snow this year or even much in the way of frost either for that matter...

I'm pleased for you, @hywel.Maybe it needed the wet weather! peony, George is a deep velvety purple and bigger than other dwarf irises - really quite unmistakable, so if yours is smaller and bluer, it probably isn't George. I wonder which one it is? That's a great photo of your Daphne, steve N. I like Wulfi! Mine is at the same stage.

The good photography does the Daphne justice Fractal. Mine is smothered in blossom and this is what I will take to the WI competition on Thursday. A favourite shrub and now 7 ft tall.
