The seeds arrived KC As for the growhouses... no... my local Aldi is doing 4-shelf growhouses for under £10. And I think B+Q was as well (though that might have been a local special offer)

;( unfortunately we don't seem to have those offers here, though I will be keeping my eyes opened at the cheapy shops for end of season offers. I got the cosmos potted on last night. I didn't get as much done as I'd have liked as hubby arrived home with a van full of logs to offload, we've started getting in our logs ready for October I noticed the blackberry is beginning to flower, it didn't bloom last year, so that's really pretty. I must take some recent photos and get them on here. I still have a lot of begonia to pot on, tonight all being well.

I got mum's crates finally finished and more begonias potted on. I think we'll be putting the crates in the van tonight for OH to leave with mum tomorrow. So that'll leave me some space to pot on some more flowers. I set aside some pots from the front of the house last night while watering, to pull out the dead plants tonight.
Later on I would also like to: pot on more begonias, mix vermiculite with soil now that there's room in the bag, pot on some more tomatoes and fill up the two bigger planters at the front door.

Does this/these look like begonia, geranium or hydrangea to you? Those 3 are what was planted in that large tub last year but this doesn't look familiar at all, are they weeds?? lol
Left of door What would you do with that grassy stuff? Dump it and replant something else or just leave it? Not looking the best at the mo
Right of door
This will all be gone (sometime soon I hope although dear knows when!) Stones, steps, concrete paths, front door step, hedge, wee low wall below hedge will all be removed and paving bricks will be laid instead, sloping upwards to the door with flower beds built in rather than pots I can't wait!

You've got a wide range of plants in pots, nasturtium, rose, basil... the first one looks like geranium or even buttercup! , very invasive, self seeds everywhere. The other looks like a variegated ornamental grass...good in a gravel type garden. Not sure about that with the red foliage, Heuchera? Pelargonium?

I think there's one buttercup at least in there, but I'm thinking of just digging it all up and starting again, I might re-pot the variegated grass and ivy into other pots and set them aside until I know what I want to do with them, they were ok the past couple of years, I just think I need to rehome them elsewhere. Though I'm not sure where you saw the basil as I haven't grown any lol. The red foliage is Heuchera yup

Those spikey leaves ring a bell. The geraniums I've seen tend to have dark stripes on the leaves ?
My parents have a couple of Buttercups that have not yet been erradicated. I'll photograph a couple of the leaves and post them here ?

Yes most geraniums have pretty leaves, mine have too, well most of them, those leaves in that pic look more like parsley though I know it's not. I intend to dig them up over the weekend anyway.
I got 3 tomatoes put in the upside down planters this morning, and my potatoes topped up again. I will leave the other tomato plants in the GH for a while yet as they are still surprisingly small. I need to re-pot the rest of the begonia as I need the cell tray to sow tree and shrub seeds. I also have cosmos grown from seed to re-pot and move out of the GH to free up some space. The crate of geraniums in the GH will be planted into the two tubs at the front door to free up more space in the GH. They were all grown for father in laws house and the front of our house but the works not done yet at either house, so a bit miffed now what to do with everything!

Going by the yellow flower in the first image, I would agree with Buttercup.

Yup - the leaves look identical to my parents surviving Buttercup plant. Additionally, the way the stalks radiate out in a "bowl-shaped" curve from a central point is suggestive of buttercuppery going on. They seem to be regarded as a weed...but then.. what is a weed ? I've been led to believe that there is no absolute definition, it's just a case of "...the wrong plant in the right place, or the right plant in the wrong place". So if you like the yellow flowers, keep them Apparantly they are VERY invasive, and spread like mad. However, they are also somewhat shallow-rooted and easy to pull out. I say "easy"; they may need a trowel. But they aren't one of those plants that form "one huge colony" underground (like bindweed.. which comes into a third category of "..the wrong plant all OVER the place...").

I think I'll dig them up as I'd like geranium in there another job on my list of things to do. Last night I nearly wrecked myself out in the back yard, I pulled out the pots and gave everywhere a good brush up, took the 4 potato bags down off the summer seat and put them behind the other 4, the 4 on the summer seat were growing up to meet the tomatoes growing down, although the potato foliage is now starting to droop a bit.(is that normal?) I rearranged some pots too and dumped old dead plants and put some unused hanging baskets away. This morning everything got a good watering. I also potted up some geranium out the front and put some stones in the base of the pots that I intend to use to pot on the tomatoes when they get a bit bigger. I hoked out some marigold seeds to put in with the tomatoes which will probably go on the summer seat. OH brought me home 3 buckets of topsoil yesterday, maybe bringing more today so I am going to tip them up in lined crates in the meantime to keep me going. Must take some photos to show what I've been up to

Well I never got much, if anything done, other than watering but here are a few photos to show what's what now:
It was absolutely chucking down with rain this morning when I took these. Everywhere needs a good power hosing
Looking forward to the tomatoes growing down that bare wall
Think I might grow sweet pea or something up round the window sill to disguise that botched plastering job!
Going to paint the bottom of the shed and grow sweet pea maybe up either side of the door.

Those pots and baskets represent a lot of work KC. The plants look very healthy.
