KC 1/ google, glucosamine. It works. 2/ slug pellets tend to develope downy mildew when damp. I think downy mildew is your problem. May I suggest you see what it is growing on?

Just wondering, if I were to cover the wall of our house, in the back yard, with something for the likes of sweet pea to grow up, what would you suggest? Cheap and not unsightly especially when its bare.

How about expanding willow trellis, it won't last a huge amount of years, but it's cheap until you can afford something more permanent, Wilko sell it with a frame round it and I'm sure other places do too

Hubby says he'll put up some wire for me hope he does. I got the yard all brushed and tidied a bit. Hope to finish it tomorrow and start planting some stuff. I've bulbs and a shrub to transplant. I got a couple of shrub bare roots today too and some bulbs, I'll update what I got soon, I can't remember. I would like to get themost in tomorrow too. Not a bad afternoon all in all

If you scroll to look back through my photos to see the photo of our front fence, the double boards are 6ish cm apart allowing me to plant flowers, just wondering what all could be planted in there? For example, could I split my fairly young fuchsias and plant them there? Also how soon could I plant my geraniums outside?

KC I wouldn't put your young fuchsias in there, not yet anyway as it's a bit exposed & they are likely to get killed in any frosts & if your geraniums are bedding geraniums (pelargoniums) then they shouldn't be planted out until spring, preferably after any frosts & after you've hardened them off for a week or so by putting them out in the day & either covering them or putting them under cover at night. I'd put some small winter bedding plants such as violas in the gap in the fence top for now & maybe some small bulbs such as crocus or mini daffs., you should be able to get some leftover ones cheap from a garden centre or somewhere like B&Q & they'd come up fairly quickly if you don't plant them too deep.

Geranium update...
According to Gerald, Geraniums need a temperature of between 7-10 degrees to thrive. At those temperatures, they do NOT want saturating with water.
I'll be able to check the Bedding Expert book tomorrow, but the information so far would suggest that you shouldn't plant them out untill... well... April ? (certainly AFTER the frosts).

Well I've done nothing, but swapped a few seeds, since I last posted on here. I've managed to do absolutely NOTHING else much to my frustration. I'm at a loss of what to do. My mind's in mush at the mo lol and I could sleep the clock round oddly for me! So I know I want to do stuff, I just can't figure out what to do. I need some of you to come and live with me for a wee while lol just to get me motivated
