I never for a second rosie expected SO much growth in such a short space of time. I'm gobsmacked. I grew them on the kitchen windowsill last year, this year I've also grown them inside but this time changed location to the dining table which is close to a radiator. I also used an unheated propagator this year rather than just small unlidded pots. Unbelievable difference. Well chuffed We're two super duper happy ladies rosie

I was given a few Italian plum tomato seeds last night, I put 12 in an empty biscuit packet I had got son some party ring biscuits and the inside tray is perfect for seeds. Double happiness Remember I'd said I bought two small Heuchera plants last year and divided them into 16 at the weekend. I remembered the proper variety is Crimson Curls I planted one of them yesterday morning into the top of the fence to see how it would fair in the frost this morning, it's still alive so now I'm wondering do I take a chance and plant the other 15 or wait a while?

I'd wait until it gets just a tad warmer KC then the plants will thrive. My heucheras are all at a standstill at the moment but a couple more weeks should see them start to sprout new leaves again

I've zero patience KC I think you'll find most of us gardeners are like that, hyped and ready to go, but, we've learned by our mistakes - now info passed to the juniors so they don't make the same mistakes as us. The season will come round so fast it will make you dizzy - then you'll hear yourself saying just like the rest of us...I don't have enough hours in the day - been there done that!! :-)))) But I love your enthusiasm all the same:-))

I was saying that last year, with everything I have in the back yard, that I don't have enough hours in the day. I have the wee heucheras on the dining table for another couple of weeks, the one I put on the top of the fence is still there, just to see how it does out of curiosity I got my sweet pea in last night and this morning, will finish sowing them when I get home this evening. Just into cell trays. They are also sitting on our dining table!!! Needless to say I can't entertain anytime soon unless we BBQ and eat outside lol

I'll use what I can and then I'll sell the left overs on, though there may not be that many. I do want to cover the walls in the back yard this year and grow them up it, and as you know daisy I do intend to try some out the front at the fence to see how it goes so better with too many than too little when it comes to this type of thing I'll count them up and see how they go. I have sown them indoors this year, like the tomatoes, rather than outdoors like I did last year, also last year I didn't pinch the sweet peas which I intend doing this year. Its all very exciting

So true daisy , and while they were free packets out of magazines some people might think ak they're only seeds or ak sure you got them free, but to me they aren't just free seeds, they aren't just even seeds, every seed, whether they be tiny or large have so much potential which is why I never dump any, what I don't use I give away to family or friends that assure me they will use them or I sell them to those that will use them.
